Silvie &Beppe Bolondi, cruisers from Italy told me they were always lucky at fishing after they had an epic morning with us. It started with an immediate hook up on a large blue marlin that they fought for 15 minutes and were winning when the hook pulled, We reset the lines and about an hour later hooked another smaller blue which we released est. 300lb. Silvie then said it would be nice to catch some wahoo ( we were not in a wahoo area at all!) - next thing 2 lines run off with...wahoo! Yep - lucky indeed and we got a couple of small dorado too..

David Clouder had a rivalry with his brother who had fished all over the world and failed to catch a marlin... David outdid him by landing this 543lb blue marlin which unfortunately became tail wrapped and died. It remains the biggest marlin we ever weighed although we released a couple of fish that were in the 600 range

Former TV fishing show presenter Karen Monaghan (+ friend Laura) started off tagging a white marlin c45lb on 30lb test then jumped another before the hook pulled. An hour later we tagged a blue marlin c125lb after a 1 hour fight. At 1 pm hooked a fish - a blue marlin then jumped out. At 6pm (5 hours later!!) we gaffed the fish - a yellowfin tuna c155lb! The marlin and tuna must have been competing for the bait and the tuna won! epic day ended in the dark..

Half day saw David Barrington tag a 50lb sailfish and Dr.Glen Jacobs tag a 175lb blue marlin after 30 mins on 30lb test. It was to be the first of many Glen caught with us over the years. It was the last time we attempted to bring a fish this big into the boat for a photo too!!

Today was Chris Shorter's 2nd day after catching 2 dorado on Friday. The seas were rough but we had a 118lb yellowfin tuna at 9.30 which took an hour to land on 50lb test. Then we raised a blue marlin about 250lb+ which did not strike but 20 mins later we hooked a similar fish which we lost over 2 hours later when the fish went deep and the 30lb line broke under the strain... To finish off we had 2 x 28lb dorado and saw several others.

The Mitchell family wanted their kids to catch a fish so we tried one area and hooked up a 100lb blue marlin which which dad Steve got to the boat in 15 minutes for a release on 20lb tackle! We then came inshore and got lucky with an 11lb mutton snapper which ate a deep diving plug off quarantine point.
