28th DECEMBER 2000

Taylor Robertshaw, David Hall were 0 for 2 on sails then a 175lb blue marlin ate the moldcraft std wide range with bird (pink/white). David released it in 35m on 50lb test.

7th & 8th DECEMBER 2000

Bob & Lisa Seward booked their 2 day trip after seeing our advert in Marlin magazine. Day 1 they went 4 for about 12 on sailfish!!. Lots of small groups of birds feeding - all on sails - hooked 8 or 9 but this was back in the days before circle hooks so we lost a lot... Day 2 - Not quite as active as yesterday but still tagged 2 sailfish and a white marlin! Great trip overall releasing 7 billfish..

24th NOVEMBER 2000

Werlberger & McCannon had a slow day overall going 1 for 5 on sailfish

9th NOVEMBER 2000

Scott Nearon & co went 1 for 2 on sailfish plus got 2 dorado. Clients from spice of life villa

8th NOVEMBER 2000

Leon Barwell (Chairman Northampton Saints Rugby Club) and Nick Beal (Saints and ex England Rugby player) went out with us along with 2 other boats all organised by Allan Lamb. Nothing much then we were circling a log going down towards hole - tuna took purple/black wide range on left rigger. Took 3.75 hours to bring to gaff at 3rd attempt on leader - 156lb - biggest fish landed that day by the fleet. (Sad to note Leon passed away in 2013 RIP)

4th NOVEMBER 2000

Marcus, J&B Stelly Slow start - went to hole - double header on sails - one cut the other off, tagged the other fish. Ended up 1 for 6

27th OCTOBER 2000

Andrew & Camille Bratcove had an unseen sail strike before a 250lb blue marlin came on the shotgun pink white bird/std wide range combo. Took a full hour to get this fish to the boat but did not get a tag in it as leader popped whilst George holding it.

26th OCTOBER 2000

Edward Kimber struggled for 30 minutes to bring in a 94lb yellowfin tuna.

Coombe & Scurvin had plenty of action on reef catching a 50lb wahoo onlead head, rapala caught a lot, lost another big wahoo too

Zimbabwe cricket team caught a 25lb dorado today and missed a sailfish bite

Mark Zottola & family went 1 for 3 on sailfish even though the sea was green. Client was getting married 1 hour after we got back!!!

Max,Adrian &Kate Thomas - found 3 whales and fished them for a while without a strike .Then went 1 for 2 on sailfish

Susan & Marty Connell, Richard Park - Susan managed to release a sailfish then we had at least 3 dorado strikes simultaneously - hooked up on one but lost it on the leader.

8th FEBRUARY 2000

Tony & Steve had a slow start with a few good sailfish chances missed due to soft baits. Eventually (2.45pm) got a 126lb yellowfin on bigbird/joe yee super chugger combo on 50lb shotgun rig. took 30mins for Steve to get in

7th FEBRUARY 2000

Tony & Steve had a good start with a 180lb blue caught on 30lb test on ballyhoo flat line 4 miles out. took 30mins to tag. Then went further out and released a nice sail on 50lb test est 60lb . then 4 sails came up at once - hooked 1 briefly but threw it. 1 for 1 on blues 1 for 7 on sails

Tony &Steve went 1 for 6 on sailfish.

31st JANUARY 2000

Colin Haywood released a sailfish around birds 3 miles off moliniere. Then saw a big blue marlin thrashing surface - very large bill! Next saw whale and 2 schools of yellowfins. Finally saw birds working feeding sail fish and had a lot of finicky strikes which could not hook up.

Alan Thom, Phil Raised a sail but no hook up, then released a white marlin which took 20 mins to land on 30lb test. 1 for 1 on whites 0 for 2 on sails

Routledge, Yeardley had a nice blue marlin hit the purple/black wide range, hook pulled after 2 mins. Then released a white marlin.
